Guide :Boating : T-Hall Skis

Black ooze! I have just returned from skiing with my Salomon X Scream monocoque skis. I was giving them a wax before storing them for the next year when I noticed a black sticky ooze emanating from the Prolink strengtheners (?) fore and aft of the bindings. This was easily cleaned with white spirit. 1) Is this a problem? 2) Do the Prolinks contain some sort of oil? 3) Do I need to get this rectified before using them again? 4) If so, would an ordinary ski shop that offers tuning, at a resort, fix the problem? Thanks for your help.
